The Global Foundation for Humanity was created in 1993 and is a United States 501(c)(3) non-profit Charitable Foundation. It was set up to accept donations on behalf of the Veerni Project.
The Global Foundation supports the Veerni Project, (www.veerni.org), based in Rajasthan, India.
The mission of the Project is:
The mission of the Veerni Project arose out of an encounter with a village worker in a remote village of the Thar Desert in Western Rajasthan. The project began in 1993 with the aim of bringing mush needed healthcare programs for women and children. In 2000, at the demand of girls in the villages, the focus was changed to providing them with the opportunity of accessing a secondary education.
Since that time, Veerni has supported and educated a large number of girls aged between 12 and 18 granting them the opportunity of exercising their human rights in one of the world’s poorest regions. The demand for education from village based parents keeps growing and Veerni cannot meet the increasing demand.
The Global Foundation for Humanity entitles donors to a tax deduction for any contribution made. Upon receipt of your donation, a letter of acknowledgement will be issued to that end. (IRS#14-1771766)
Veerni currently provides 110 girls with a secondary education in a boarding institute where they enjoy board and lodging, comprehensive health care, arts and crafts, sports facilities, and computer training. They attend two elite private schools. The annual cost for each student is $2,400.
The mission of the Veerni Project is to ensure the education of the 110 girls and increase the number if the project gets additional funding to answer the demand. We need your help in the form of donations or sponsorship.
